Module Introduction

Successful communication helps us foster connection, collaboration, and trust with others. It is also a platform for creating understanding and working through difficult situations, which is critical to professional (and personal) success. We will learn about effective communication practices, including the art of listening, the impact of feeling heard and strategies for exploring conflict responsibility.

Learning Objectives

  1. ​To understand why listening is the most important component of communication.
  2. Discuss the Ladder of Inference and practice with this model​.
  3. Discover how to handle difficult conversations​.
  4. Learn how to make meaningful requests and commitments.
